The Assembly Transportation Committee has passed a plan authored by Rudy Salas.The Bakersfield Assemblyman wants to expand the kinds of vehicles that qualify for the clean air replacement program. His bill would allow for zero-emission light-duty pickup trucks and minivans to be covered by the state subsidies. The bill next goes to the Appropriations Committee to approve funding.
