A man is in critical condition at Kern Medical with a gunshot wound after a possible robbery attempt.It happened at a market on Weedpatch Highway in southeast Bakersfield. A man in his 20’s entered the Azteca Market near Muller Road at 11:25 Monday morning and became involved in some kind of altercation with an employee. It’s uncertain if it was a robbery or if items were being taken by the suspect. The man in his 20’s ran out of the store then drove north to Breckenridge Road where he was found by deputies, it’s unclear if he was armed when he was shot.
