A caravan rolling through California for the sanctuary state proposal has made a stop in front of Sheriff’s Headquarters in Oildale.Proponents of Senate Bill 54 arrived Wednesday evening for a rally that local law enforcement should not cooperate with federal immigration agents. The site was chosen because Sheriff Donny Youngblood recently visited with President Trump who they say is bringing an atmosphere of fear to immigrant communities. Sheriff Youngblood has said his office does not work with ICE on enforcement, but does allow access to the jail.
