Two suspects are on the loose after a high-speed chase in Tehachapi. A deputy pulled over a car around 8:30 Wednesday morning, then the driver got out and refused to get back in his vehicle. A passenger took the wheel and sped off while the other man ran away. The short chase was called off near Thompkins Elementary School, but the car was soon found abandoned.
