A REAL LEMON OF A DECISION

Valley citrus growers say they’ve been blind-sided by a Trump Administration decision.The policy is to allow lemons to be imported from Argentina, which has the dangerous citrus greening disease. Shipments begin May 26th and growers say they feel betrayed by the move. Kern County produces about $70 million worth of lemons annually and California provides 92 percent of the nation’s lemon supply.
