The body of a Bakersfield man who fell out of a kayak in the Kern River two weeks ago has been recovered behind a house on Shadow Hills Drive, about three miles from where he disappeared.

60-year-old Lawrence Holguin went under near Hart Park April 15th; he was found on Saturday. Another man whose kayak flipped over on Sunday was rescued after being washed two miles down river.
