WET WEATHER BRINGS ALLERGIES TO KERN COUNTY

A rainy season that filled our waterways are also filling doctor’s offices with allergy sufferers.

Dr. Eric Boren at the Kern Allergy Clinic has seen an uptick in patients who cannot handle the increasing Bermuda, rye and fescue grass pollens, and the problem is compounded by the overall air quality and geography of the Valley. The allergies have also triggered other issues like asthma and skin disorders.

Boren says this may end up being one of the worst years on record for allergies in Kern County when weeds and mold start popping up later this year.
