The Sheriff’s Office collected 25 unused or expired prescriptions during the DEA Drug Take Back event. Deputies took in the medications at nine spots around Kern County last weekend to help residents safely throw them.

Law enforcement agencies across the country held similar events to keep drugs away from kids, pets, and waterways.
