TRUMP IS SOUR TO CITRUS GROWERS

California citrus growers are furious with the Trump Administration over Argentine lemons. The anger comes after it was announced Argentina will be allowed to ship lemons into the U.S. California Citrus Mutual President Joel Nelson arrived in Washington just in time to learn of the decision and feels betrayed by the deal our government has made, saying discussions with Argentina ag officials were extensive while U.S. ag interests were not even aware of the consideration. Nelson says Argentina has pests and diseases that could devastate our citrus industry and that’s why they had not been allowed to ship here.
