The Public Utilities Commission is considering penalties against Southern California Gas Company.The violation is for estimating customer usage rather than billing according to how much natural gas was actually used. The PUC says the violations in 2015 and 2016 could result in fines of $50 thousand per day. SoCal Gas serves much of the Valley portion of Kern County outside the City of Bakersfield.
