Negotiators have been ordered back to the bargaining table after Supervisors refused to accept a call for an impasse.The labor dispute is between the county and unions representing deputies and corrections officers. Sheriff Donny Youngblood sounded the alarm at Tuesday’s board meeting saying he’s losing too many deputies to other agencies. The board directed staff to try again to come up with a contract and then report back on June 6th to decide if there’s still an impasse.
