A man in Oildale is arrested after endangering kids walking to school as he fled from deputies.Ryan Nickell faces numerous charges after an attempted traffic stop at Airport Drive and Roberts Lane at 6:47 Wednesday morning. Nickell jumped out and ran off, allowing the vehicle to continue along unoccupied across four lanes of traffic and towards children walking to Beardsley School. The vehicle crashed into a fence without hitting anyone. Deputies say Nickell then ran onto the school grounds, forcing a lockdown. He was eventually located and arrested and faces charges that include possession of burglary tools and stolen property, and participation in a street gang.
