Bakersfield Assemblyman Rudy Salas has authored a bill requiring hairstylists be trained to spot abuse. The hairdressers would know the signs of domestic violence, elder abuse and human trafficking. Assembly Bill 326 unanimously passed the Assembly Thursday and next goes to the Senate to be heard in committee. The training would be part of the stylist licensing process.
