Bakersfield could be home to a Major Arena Soccer League team come this fall. Bernie Lilavois manages the U.S. National Indoor team that plays Mexico Saturday night at Rabobank Arena, he’s also been exploring putting a franchise here for the pro league. A decision is expected in the next couple of weeks, Lilavois owns a team in Ontario and thinks Bakersfield could be a good regional match, much like it is for the Condors and Reign.
