The Police Critical Incident Review Board has cleared two officers in the death of a machete-wielding man in south Bakersfield. Officers Zachary Burdick and Timothy McIrvin acted within department policy last October when they subdued 63-year-old Jose Viloria, the coroner found he died of blunt force trauma and neck compression.
