Results of the latest Cap and Trade auction by the State of California and the Province of Quebec has been made public.

All 75 million carbon emission allowances for 2017 were sold on May 16th with an average price of $13.80 while just over two million allowances for the 2020 auction were sold.

Much of that money comes to the Valley for air quality programs. California partners with the Canadian Province to sell the offsets to entities that exceed legal limits on pollution.
