Narcotics officers have busted an illegal marijuana growing operation south of Dustin Acres in western Kern County. Thursday’s search turned up about 80 plants in various stages of growth along with illegal pesticides. 25-year-old Ramiro Garcia-Carranza of Shafter was arrested.

Sean Michael Lisle
