Firefighters had to contend with oilfield fences and other barriers as they battled a 20-acre grass fire.The burn in light grasses was west of Buttonwillow. Friday evening’s fire did not cause any significant damage, but did threaten some oil well locations before it was extinguished. Engines were finally able to move around obstacles to stop the fire.
