It’s special election day on Tuesday with three Kern County communities voting.

Bakersfield City Council Ward 5 has Bruce Freeman, Ryan Nance, and Noel Pineo running. The Kern Valley Healthcare District is asking for $98 a year per parcel to update hospital facilities, while California City voters will decide two tax measures to support public safety.
