A Bakersfield man accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment several times and attacking her has been sentenced to almost three years in prison.

36-year-old Robert Castillo was caught in January outside the woman’s complex, but Deputy DA Samantha Allen says the victim pushed for a plea deal. Castillo was jailed on another domestic violence charge last year.
