Police are investigating a drowning at the Motel 6 in downtown Bakersfield. City firefighters were not able to revive 48-year-old James Robinson, who was discovered at the bottom of the pool on Oak and Palm streets Tuesday night. Foul play is not suspected in the local resident’s death.
