BAKERSFIELD SENIORS GET ACTIVE

The Bakersfield Senior Center has cut the ribbon on four new outdoor exercise machines to help 75 visitors a day get moving.

The $30,000 “Miracle on 4th Street” project was planned by the Leadership Bakersfield committee and completely paid for by private donations.

The center hopes the equipment will encourage people to get active because one in three seniors in the United States is injured in a fall every year because they do not exercise enough.
