L.A. MAN NAMED IN POLICE SHOOTING

The man killed by police in eastern Kern County has been identified as a parolee from Los Angeles.The man was not supposed to be in the town of Ridgecrest. 45-year-old Oscar Junior was armed when confronted by six Ridgecrest officers and one from Taft Thursday morning. He was chased until he climbed onto the roof of a house where all seven fired at him. It’s being investigated whether the incident was a case of “suicide by cop.”
