A 69-year-old man from Weldon has pleaded guilty to his part in a large-scale marijuana growing operation.The pot grow was in the Fay Creek area of the Sequoia National Forest. Russell Riggs faces anywhere from 5 to 40 years in prison after Monday’s plea in federal court, and he will be sentenced along with a co-conspirator in September.
