A shortstop has become one of the highest Cal State Bakersfield baseball players ever drafted into the pros.

Ryan Grotjohn was taken by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 10th round Tuesday and ranks 292 overall. Grotjohn led the Runners in batting, slugging, hits, and doubles last season.
