A man who ran to Mexico after a fatal shooting has made a court appearance.The murder was at a bar on Chester Avenue in south Bakersfield two years ago, the suspect entered a plea of not guilty with bail set at $2-million. 25-year-old Gabriel Verdugo was arraigned on first-degree murder Thursday after being captured in Mexico on Tuesday. 30-year-old Elvis Gonzales was killed after an argument. Verdugo returns to court for a pre-preliminary hearing June 26th.
