A woman has been taken to a hospital after jumping off the Coffee Road bridge into the Kern River. City Fire crews responded to the call in southwest Bakersfield just before 1:00 Thursday afternoon and found the woman wading, but she tried to get away from them. She eventually agreed to leave the river and was taken by ambulance for evaluation.
