A Taft resident has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for his part in a marijuana growing operation.The grow was in the Fay Creek area of the Sequoia National Forest. 46-year-old Juan Penaloza was also ordered Monday to pay over $10-thousand for environmental damage. A Weldon man pleaded guilty in this case last week.
