Fire restrictions are in effect for the Los Padres National Forest effective immediately. The stage two restrictions include limiting fires to only developed campsites, no smoking except inside an enclosed vehicle and no internal combustion engines of any kind off roadways. The Forest Service says extreme heat and dry conditions prompted the move.
