Containment on the Highway Fire in the Kern River Canyon has reached 90-percent. The fire has been burning since Sunday in the Sequoia National Forest and quickly climbed the hillsides to scorch just over 15-hundred acres. Containing the fire has not been difficult because movement has been very slow as it reached higher elevations.
