Measure to support citizenship for immigrants in military pushed. State Senator Andy Vidak of Hanford is asking for official support for the idea of letting immigrants who serve in our military get an easier pathway to citizenship. Vidak introduced a resolution Friday calling on the state legislature to back a US House bill by Merced Congressman Jeff Denham to change federal immigration laws so the veterans would get permanent residency.
