The Bakersfield Fire Department has set up a temporary hotline to report illegal fireworks during the 4th of July holiday.

Residents can call 868-6070 if they see or hear Piccolo Petes or other whistling-type fireworks as well as Ground Blooms.

The phone line will be monitored on July 3-4 from 7:00p.m. until midnight.
