The Cal State Bakersfield men’s baseball team has a new head coach.

Jeremy Beard took over the program as interim coach last December and is looking forward to being a mentor to his players and getting the community involved with the program.

The Runners finished third in the regular season this year and advanced to the Western Athletic Conference championship game before losing to Sacramento State.
