The Bodfish man accused of throwing a knife and a saw at deputies during his arrest has pleaded no contest to assault with a deadly weapon.

A K-9 took down 64-year-old Kirk Allison at a home on Rocky Road south of Bodfish Canyon Road last April. Deputies were called after he reportedly tried to kill his neighbor then set the house on fire.

Sentencing is next month.
