There’s a new sign welcoming visitors and residents to the city of Lamont.

Chamber of Commerce President Jose Gonzalez was at Friday’s unveiling and says the sign should now be more visible to passing drivers.

The original near Weedpatch Highway had not been refurbished since 1992. The new sign is on Panama Road just east of South Fairfax.
