Bakersfield Police will be arresting the pickup driver suspected of killing another man as he crossed Stockdale Highway.

Officers believe 23-year-old William Bass was drunk when he struck the victim just before 2:30 Friday morning near California Avenue. The accident closed lanes for several hours and sent Bass to the hospital.
