A new report says more than 97-thousand Kern County residents may be drinking dirty water. The “Threats on Tap” study found several systems did not meet federal safety standards, and co-author Erik Olson says aging infrastructure is the problem. Olson thinks federal grants and stiffer penalties for polluters could help us lower lead, arsenic and bacteria levels.
