Bakersfield Police are getting a $99,804 grant to enforce laws regarding alcohol sales to minors. The award from California Alcoholic Beverage Control will strengthen local efforts to keep booze away from kids while also funding educational programs. The BPD Vice Unit will also use the money to crack down on service to obviously intoxicated patrons and on the sale and possession of illegal drugs.
