Kern County Public Health is using humor to get parents to talk to their teens about sexually transmitted diseases. Spokeswoman Michelle Corson says the goal of their billboards with crazy photos and funny captions is to put parents in the driver’s seat. She says too many young people are seeing inaccurate information online, one reason for our high infection rates.
