Speakers at the annual In God We Trust dinner in downtown Bakersfield encouraged attendees to keep fighting for religious liberty. Actor and former Fresno mayor Alan Autry did not like the pushback he got before his city council decided to put up our national motto in their chambers. The In God We Trust America campaign was founded over a decade ago by Bakersfield City Councilwoman Jacquie Sullivan.
