Cal Water and the state’s division of drinking water have canceled the boil water advisory for customers in downtown Bakersfield. Kevin McCusker with Cal Water says a sample that came out Friday morning had tested positive for E. coli bacteria. The customers who were impacted lived in the area of Drake, Spruce, 21st, and Oak Streets, those who bought bottled water can get reimbursed at Cal Water headquarters on South H Street.
