Cal Water customers in downtown Bakersfield have had to boil their drinking and cooking water all weekend due to a positive test for E. Coli bacteria, and that order remains in effect Monday. The alert issued Saturday affects about 220 customers between Drake, Spruce, Oak and 21st streets in what’s being called an “abundance of caution.”
