A fire Wednesday morning at the El Don motel on South Union Avenue and East Belle Terrace in Bakersfield has damaged at least one unit and possibly others. Bakersfield Fire Battalion Chief Bill Ballard says flames were running under the entire attic when they arrived at 5:45. The cause of the fire is under investigation, there’s no estimate of damage.
