HARGROVE CHARGES DROPPED

The District Attorney is dismissing misdemeanor assault charges against a Bakersfield woman who was beaten, attacked by a K-9, and arrested after a police officer mistook her for a man who’d threatened shoppers with a machete.

Lisa Green says 19-year-old Tatyana Hargrove at first failed to comply with lawful directions during the incident near the Grocery Outlet market on Ming Avenue and Ashe Road in June, but there was not enough evidence to support the charges.

The man suspected of making those threats was later arrested.
