The woman accused of torturing another woman over several days in an east Bakersfield apartment has pleaded not guilty to several charges, including attempted murder.

Deputies say Amalia Lopez and her husband Franco Ochoa tied up the victim, stabbed her with a sword, and set the Troy Street place on fire when they left in June. The two were arrested in Oxnard last week.
