The woman accused of embezzling more than $165,000 from the Kern County Soccer Federation has pleaded no contest to four counts of grand theft. Denise Wheeler got the money by forging signatures on the group’s bank account for almost two years.

She faces a year in jail and five years probation at her sentencing next month.
