Crews worked through the night to repair a huge sinkhole shut down traffic on Coffee Road between Stockdale Highway and Truxtun Avenue in southwest Bakersfield. Cal Water District Manager Mike Mares says an emergency water valve is being installed and it will take several days to repair the pipe. Residents in the nearby Quailwood Apartments are under a boil water advisory, traffic is still slow in the area with just one northbound and two southbound lanes of Coffee Road now open.
