Some mosquitoes in Kern County have tested positive for West Nile virus. The West Side Mosquito and Vector Control District says the infected insects were found recently near Garratt and Fillmore streets in Taft and along Copus Road and Highway 166 in Maricopa.

The District says no humans have been infected.
