Four people from the Kern County Red Cross are on their way to the Texas Gulf Coast to help those in the path of Hurricane Harvey. The Category 4 storm, the biggest to hit Texas since 1961, made landfall Friday night.

The workers will be manning the shelters as well as providing logistics and damage assessment.
