The woman who was beaten, attacked by a K-9 and arrested following a case of mistaken identity by police is filing a civil rights and excessive force claim against the City of Bakersfield.

Lawyers for Tatyana Hargrove will give details about the suit at a news conference on Wednesday morning but said in a statement that they want to “confront wider problems” at the Police Department.

Kern County District Attorney Lisa Green dismissed all charges against Hargrove earlier this month.
